Age of Economics is an influential website that seeks to raise individual and collective awareness of the global capitalist civilization that profoundly impacts humanity and the planet. Through thought-provoking content and insightful interviews, Age of Economics delves into the complexities of our economic system, shedding light on its consequences and exploring alternative perspectives. The website has had the privilege of interviewing prominent figures who have contributed significantly to the field, including Shoshana Zuboff, renowned author of “The Age of Surveillance Capitalism,” and Noam Chomsky, an esteemed linguist, philosopher, and political activist. Other notable interviewees include Paola Subacchi, an Italian economist and professor, Barry C. Lynn, the Executive Director of the Open Markets Institute, and many more distinguished voices from various corners of the world. These interviews provide valuable insights and perspectives, fostering meaningful dialogue on the challenges and opportunities presented by the global economic landscape. Age of Economics serves as a platform for critical discourse, inviting readers to expand their understanding and engage in the ongoing conversation about our economic realities.

Objective:

The objective of this project was to develop a user-friendly and visually appealing website that would serve as a platform for in-depth economic discourse. The website needed to provide a seamless browsing experience, prioritize fast loading times, and ensure robust security measures.

Solution:

To achieve the desired outcomes, we employed the following strategies:

Website Development using Hugo: We utilized the Hugo framework, a static site generator, to create a fast-loading website with excellent performance. Hugo’s lightweight architecture allowed us to optimize the site’s speed and enhance the user experience.

Secure Infrastructure: We implemented stringent security measures to safeguard user data and protect the website against potential threats. This included using SSL encryption, employing secure authentication protocols, and regularly updating the website’s software and plugins.

Responsive Design: We adopted a responsive design approach, ensuring that the website is accessible and visually appealing across different devices and screen sizes. This enabled users to have a consistent browsing experience, whether they accessed the site from a desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Customized Templates: We created visually captivating YouTube thumbnail templates and Twitter cards that aligned with the brand’s identity. These templates were designed to grab viewers’ attention and encourage them to engage with the website’s content on social media platforms.
